The landscape in Ground Zero varies as the map covers several states.  However, the majority of the landscape consists of plains and desert.  Very little foliage has survived in the wake of nuclear war. Existing trees are very large and gnarled and have no leaves left. Scraggly bushes and other plants will have started to grow back, but may have some strange changes from the nuclear fallout.

 

Eight Environmental Zones

The zones include the Plains (includes panhandle plains, central plains and south central plains), Flint Hills, Cross Timbers, Piney Woods, Ouachita Mountains, Arkansas Valley, Boston Mountains and Ozark Highlands.
